The 2011 University of Illinois Writing Project (UIWP), an
affiliate of the National Writing Project (NWP), is a federally
funded professional development program for teachers at all
levels and in all disciplines to encourage and support the
teaching of writing.Each morning of the four week workshop began with an hour of individual writing. This was followed by demonstration/critique of participant best practices and classroom successes, blogging, reading, and discussion of professional literature. Technology-based afternoon activities included video, podcast and website production.
