The 2012 Invitational Summer Institute will take place
from June 11-July 6, 2012.
Online applications are available here and are due on March 2, 2012. You will need a:
- Resume or similar statment
- 500-word response to the following writing prompt: Describe one approach, strategy or assignment you use to incorporate writing into your classes. Please explain your thinking about this teaching approach and any issues or dilemmas it raises for you and your students.
- Recommender name (recommender will need to send in a letter)
Summer Institute Fellows will receive a $1000 stipend for their participation. If you have a University of Illinois tuition waiver, you can use it for the Summer Institute tuition, which is about $1300. If not, you are responsible for tuition. Some tuition support is typically available from UIWP.
